Bucky Franklin was raised in the Mayes County area. He has been married to his wife Kay for 50 years, and they have had two kids together, Mike and Cara Jill. He attended high school just down the street in Locust Grove, and went on to go to college at OSU, first getting a Bachelors of Science in Forestry, and then getting a Masters of Science in Land Resource Management. After getting his degrees, he went on to work on numerous projects around the country and beyond. He went down to Brazil and became the Project Forester for the Jari Project the Amazon region there. He also worked on the Braskraft in São Paulo, Brazil for another 2 years as the Director of Forest Operations. After he returned to the United States, he moved down to Louisiana, and set up Franklin Logging Incorporated as a successful company in North Louisiana for 13 years. Afterwards, he moved on, and joined with Mountain Logging in Gunnison, Colorado for 6 years. He finally came back home and started Franklin Timber Services Inc. in Chouteau, OK, before moving on to Franklin Cattle Co. and B.F. Development Co..

Altogether, his wealth of experiences has left him with over 30 years buying, managing, and selling land and timber in Brazil, Louisiana, Colorado, and Oklahoma. Moreover, his down-to-earth and easy-going nature enables him to work with everyone in order to get things done. He enjoys the real estate industry because he loves interacting with the variety of people associated with the real estate world. Part of this reason for this love of real estate is because he believes that the industry is made up of “people helping people.” Now he wants to help you find just what you need to fit in with the community, and with his education, knowledge of the area, and good personality, he can do just that.

“I am not just a ‘land man.’ I am THE Land Man. Call me to see how I can successfully market and sell your rural or ranch property.”
